“He who holds the souls of children, holds the nation” Children’s Day was celebrated with great pomp & splendor on 15th November 2010 in the school premises. The day being celebrated in memory of Chacha Nehru’s birthday, who loved children very much, so the programme started with the garlanding of Nehru’s portrait by the Principal Shri. H.K.Ganjoo followed by the Head Mistress’s address who focused on the importance of the day. A speech was delivered by a primary student followed by a poem recited by a student from secondary section. ‘A colorful Fancy Dress competition’ was the attraction of the day. An English Skit was presented by the senior students conveying the message of the ‘Right Choice of the Career’. A speech on Nehru’s life was delivered by Mr.Rajiv V. (PGT Chem.). The programme concluded with the Vice Principal, Ms.V.S. Laxmi’s message to inculcate the values of Nehru’s leadership in oneself. Finally sweets were distributed to the students by the Principal who believed that-‘The best way to make children good citizens is to make them happy.’ A Community Lunch was also organized during the recess. The aroma of the delectable delicacies brought by the students was just irresistible & tickled our taste buds, where everybody enjoyed the sumptuous meals & appetizing snacks. The programme was awesome where the children enjoyed whole heartedly.
