INVESTITURE CEREMONY-REPORT                PHOTOS

The vidyalaya has been putting earnest efforts to form the STUDENTS’ COUNCIL every year. This noble gesture was initiated this year also in the month of July, calling nominations for the various posts of students’ council. Two nominees for each post were selected. An interview was conducted by a committee comprising of esteemed principal, CCA incharge and senior PGTs on 12^th August 2010. The students’ council comprising mainly of two school captains, two vice captains, two sports captains and two cultural captains was constituted on the same day.  With the consent of           the VMC chairman Shree. P.Mishra, GM, OFDR to be the chief guest the, INVESTITURE CEREMONY was conducted on Wednesday 8^th September 2010. The function began with a prayer song. School captain gave the welcome address. It was in a very befitting manner, the badges were pinned and sashes were decorated on the members. Coming to flag receiving ceremony, the Head boy, sports captain, and house captains received school flag, sports flag and house flags respectively. Oath was administered by the chief guest in a very solemn manner. This was followed by an inspiring speech by the chief guest in which he insisted the need to be role models and take up responsibilities in the right perspective. Eventually Principal         Shri. H.K.Ganjoo gave a piece of his mind to the selected leaders and the ceremony came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by the School Vice-Captain.

                             As per the letter received from Head-quarters Vide No F11029/20/2010 KVS (HQ)/Acad the investiture ceremony was conducted in a right manner carrying out all the instructions in toto.
