:: Admissions in Kendriya Vidyalayas are given to the wards of the -

1. Central Government Employees - both transferable and non-transferable.
2.. Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector undertakings.

:: Priorities In Admission
The following priorities shall be followed in granting admission -

A. In Kendriya Vidyalayas Under Civil/Defence Sector

    1. Children of transferable Central Government employees including Ex-servicemen;
    2. Children of non-transferable Central Government employees including Ex-servicemen;
    3. Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of - Autonomous Bodies/ Public Sector Undertakings/Institutes Of Higher Learning of the Government of India.
    4. Children of transferable State Government employees;
    5. Children of non-transferable State Government employees;
    6. Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of - Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings/Institutes Of Higher Learning of the State Government.
    7. Children of any other category.

B. Eligible Age For Admission

    1. A child must be at least 5 years old on 30th September in the academic year in which admission is being sought in class I. For subsequent classes, the eligible age would be reckoned again with reference to 1 st of april with a proportionate increase over 5 years.
    2. An upper age limit of admission is fixed as the minimum admission to Class I.

C. Method Of Admission

No admission test would be conducted for admission to Class I.
All applications received would be divided into the seven categories in order of priority as laid down in priority to the extent vacancies are available.

D. Reservation

    1. 15% seats for Scheduled Caste and 7 1/2% for Scheduled Tribe.
    2. 3% seats reserved for Handicapped Children.

E. Class Strength

Fresh admissions can be done in each section of each class up to 40 for admitting children of Category I only in the Vidyalaya.

F. Procedure For Admission

1. The schedule of registration selection and declaration of the name of the children being granted admission would be notified in advance by the Principal of the KV concerned.
2. Registration forms would be made available by the Principal on payment of Rs.100/-
3. Registration Form, complete in all respect and accompanied by all required documents must be submitted to the Vidyalaya with the prescribed date.


For Class I
First admission list based on registration up to 28 th february would be displayed on the specified date in February and admissions would be granted.


For All Other Classes From II To IX
List admission would be displayed on 30th of March based on registrations up to 28th Feb.

Attested Copies of the following documents would be required to be submitted along with the application form for registration -
a. For Class I : Birth Certificate issued by the authority competent to register births. This will include Notified area like Municipal Corporation or Service Records of Defence Personnel.
b. For Class II : Transfer Certificate countersigned by District Education Officer/Desk Officer affiliated to CBSE will be produced at the time of admission.
c. Certificate of competent authority mentioning the caste of SC or ST if any.
d. Service certificate showing number of transfers in last 7 years duly signed and stamped by the Head of Office, bearing the name, designation and other relevant particulars.
e. A Certificate of retirement for uniformed defence employee.
f. Proof of Residence (Photocopy of Quarter Allotment).
g. Last date for admission and the competent authority to allow it will be up to 31st July.


:: SCHOOL DUES

An Admission Fees of Rs. 25/- shall be paid at the time of admission to the school. Rs. 50/- Re-admission Fees is also payable on re-admission of the Child.

No Tution Fee shall be collected from girl students, SC/ST students and from the wards of the KVS employees.

Note : In case of late payment of fees a fine of Rs. 5/- per working day will be collected (Separately for VVN and Tution Fees.)
